A Great First Mother's Day!

Today I officially joined the Mother's Day Club and had an awesome day filled with FOOD and LOVE..and MORE FOOD..

We stopped by the Golden Gate Fellowship to meet up with Pops and Grandma and got to see everyone from the church. Adam ( with the assistance of Pops) walked all over the place and socialized. ( i however spilled coffee on the floor and felt horrible). Adam got to try some pizza and LOVED it. After we left to pick up my housewarming gift to Pops and Grandma..a Topsy Turvy Tomato Planter..which was set up later on in the day. I made reservations at Lovejoy's Tea Room and there we dined on lil sandwiches, fruit, 4 kinds of tea, scones, crumpets, coleslaw, salad and mini cakes. Adam of course enjoyed lots of fruit.. he especially loves honeydew ( like me! )

Back at the apartment Pops Adam and I all took naps on the new recliner couch while Scott and Grandma organized stuff at the old house. By the time they were done...DINNER TIME! We all went to our favorite chinese restaurant Xiao Loong on West Portal...yummy! Adam once again ate like he had a bottomless pit of a tummy. He loves chow fun, peas, carrots and chicken.

WoW...we pretty much just ate all day hahaha...mixed in there are a couple Starbucks runs as well ( it is us afterall

It was a great day!

Our little Monkey! Adam at 10weeks

Our little bundle of joy isn't so little anymore! Weighing in at a whopping 11lbs 22inches at his 2 month checkup, he's outgrown his adorable newborn clothes and starting to stretch out a few of his 3months =) we're all thinking BIG when buying clothes now. The last few weeks have been busy for our little family. Roadtrip to Reno and Nampa, doctor's appointments, birthday parties and your everyday crazies. Now that Scott and I are back at work we are juggling our schedules with caring for Monkey as well. Thank goodness for grandparents! My dad recently retired and (after a lil practice w/supervision) is a great last-minute sitter for us when our schedules intertwine, my mom is always willing to take him while we cook or need to do housework, grandma Debi and Pops are the best anytime we need a break. There's alot of love for this lil guy and he sure feels it!
Adam is very talkative now and will talk to all of us and laugh and giggle. He loves watching T.V with daddy and kicks his legs out in excitement when he's happy. He's into his mobile and looking at himself in the mirror ..he knows he's adorable. ..
THANKFULLY the last few days he's been sleeping about 6-7 hours a night! its a beautiful thing. =) warm wipe down and a warm bottle..BEST thing ever.
We are all just amazed at his growth and personality..he's such an awesome lil guy and we are so excited to see what he has in store for us next.

Adam at 22 days

This is mommy updating for the first time! What to say about our new lives as parents...there's so much! Adam is 3 weeks old now and growing in leaps and bounds. Its amazing how much babies change in a matter of days and weeks. I take pictures of him everyday and looking back you can see such a difference.
He is eating well and getting heavy, we think he has to be close to 8lbs by now. We'll find out at his next doctor's visit Friday (one month old!) During the day he's been waking up to eat about every 2 hours and after a diaper change (or two) he settles back to sleep. UNFORTUNATELY we can't say the same about nights. Lately he's been taking to staying awake until 1 or 2 am...fussy the whole time and not wanting to be put down. As I write this he is in his crib making little whimpers and cries...not quite asleep. When he finally is completely knocked out, its for a good 4 hours- which is great! but not consistent- then back to being fussy again. There isn't much sleep these days =T Whenever he cries out I automatically need to get up and check on him... so much that my eyes hurt from putting my glasses on and off too fast. Other than our lack of sleep its great to be a parent!
I am now a pro at diaper changes seeing as Adam loves to doing his business the most while I hold him, Scott serves as Adam's favorite bed and spends quite a bit of time there during the day. We've gone to visit Grandma and Pops at work, walked to my store and Scott's and found that any time in a carseat is a solid nap for him.
More on our adventures later!

UPDATE:

Okay, so we haven't kept it updated as much as we would like. We are working on it. Things have been going very well with Adam. We had a doctors check up yesterday with the Dr. Malina (Adam's Pediatrician) she is awesome. Adam is on target with his growth chart so far and has made Dr. Malina very happy, which makes us happy.

Mommy and Daddy are doing well also. We are very blessed that Adam has been a very calm baby and has been kind to us at night. He usually sleeps about 3-4 hours wakes up around 3:30 or 4, eats some more and goes back to sleep for about another 3 hours.  Which for myself has been great as I am still working a few days a week. Then I go on paternity leave August 17th - Sept. 14th. Look forward to it.

Well, I hope everyone is doing well. Thank you for all the support everyone has offered and given us.
